Holiday Transformation

It has been a while since my last post I haven’t been to busy I have just been in a bit of a funk. We all have our good and bad days. Well I’m good now I had to have a heart to heart with myself and snap out of it. Anyway I wanted to share with everyone a beautiful summer to fall/winter transformation I did on one of my clients.

She has been very blonde for a very long time and she was ready for a change. So I took her from highly bleached blonde to a soft light to medium warm golden brown with lightness around her face.

A tip when it comes to coloring your hair from light to dark is if you have had light colored hair for longer then 2 years never go darker than a light to medium brown that way you won’t feel shocked when you see the change. If you go to dark in the beginning you will feel as if your hair is “black” when it really isn’t and that’s because you have been so use to seeing the light hair for so long the darker hair will blow your mind lol. Also when going from Lahr to dark you must replace the lost pigments(natural color) that is taken away from the hair when going light (example from dark to let’s say a blonde). The lighter the hair gets the more pigment(natural color) is removed and it must be put back into the hair otherwise if you just out a darker shade on your hair it will sometime come out muddy looking, ashy, hot roots, etc.

So start with a level 7 (warm) and that is a medium brown and then go home and play around with your hair to see how you feel and if going darker is what you really want then wait at least 2 full weeks and get your hair darker. Remember it is much easier to go darker then it is to remover the darkness and go lighter!!!

This will save you time, money, and heart ache!!! I hope my little tip helps and I hope everyone enjoyed there Thanksgiving and until next time…
